The mornings begins with a short contemplative practice such as journal writing, chanting, or basic pranayama, followed by an all-levels asana class with Christina.

mid-day lunch break 1:00-3:30

You’ll have plenty of time for lunch and a leisurely stroll around the foothills and hot springs of the resort. Bring your own bag lunch, take a trip into Buena Vista, or grab a quick bite at the resort cafe.

afternoon session 3:30-5:30 (all days except Sunday)

Each afternoon session provides time for Q&A, restorative yoga postures, and are generally more introspective and quiet in tone. Having practiced deeply and in community, teachers and students alike will walk away feeling inspired and refreshed.

Evenings

Your evenings are free for you to enjoy the nearby scenery, soak in the resort hot springs, or simply rest and relax. Your tuition includes access to the pool and several hot springs at the resort, and there are ample opportunities to explore the nearby foothills.

“Trying to explain what it’s like to participate in a Christina Sell Yoga intensive is kinda like trying to explain what running 26.2 miles feels like.

“It’s an exhilarating long ass run that you train for months for, and it goes by way too fast... It’s filled with sweat, a little self-doubt, a lot more sweat, moving past that self doubt and realizing your goals are attainable. Pushing past your fears and crossing the ‘finish line’ is a feeling that cannot be described, you have to experience it first hand.”

-Kate

“Throughout the weekend I was, supported, challenged, and most importantly inspired.

“I was inspired by Christina’s great sense of humor, excellent verbal cues, and your understanding and appreciation of the body in each pose. I have a list of things to work on and for the first time in a long time I was happy with myself and how I did. I am often too hard on myself to appreciate my efforts but hearing Christina talk about risk, years of hard work, and staying true to yourself helped me gain perspective.”

FAQ

If you have a question you don’t see answered here, please reach out to Christina directly.

  • The resort is located in Nathrop, Colorado, about 3 hours from the Denver International Airport. Colorado Springs Airport is approximately 2 hours away.

There is no direct public transportation from either airport so you’ll need to rent a car.

  • In general, full attendance is required. The complete 3-day experience is the hallmark of an intensive and is an essential difference between the intensive format and a weekend workshop, where sessions may be taken individually. The intensive is structured progressively and sequentially with each session building on previous lessons. By attending the full workshop, participants will have the most thorough experience possible. Special arrangements can be made on an individual basis to accommodate individual circumstances. Email Christina directly.

  • If possible, bring a yoga mat, 1 block, 1 strap and a blanket. I know many of you are traveling on planes, so if that is not possible, do not worry. If you are local and traveling by a car and can bring a few extra blocks or blankets with you, that would be very helpful. In years past, I lived in Buena Vista and could supply props, but I will be coming by plane as well, so that isn't an option this year.

  • Yes. Please plan to travel in the day before the intensive and travel home the day following.

  • Once you register, you’ll receive a welcome letter with a link to a private Facebook group. You’ll be able to network with other participants, for ride-sharing, meal planning, and generally getting the party started now.
